I made this recipe with high hopes because I love Cuban sandwiches. However, as I layered the pork, cheese, and pickles...I began to lose hoe that this could possibly turn out well, especially once I poured the egg mixture over it. I was wrong! It was totally delicious and we just finished off the entire casserole. The only thing I changed was to use 1/2 swiss slices and 1/2 muenster slices. I also used Klausen brand garlic pickles and authentic Cuban sliced rolls. Yum!

Followed this recipe to almost a T. Used Texas toast and 4 extra eggs. Also used a little more butter but hey, it was decadent. Fed 10 hungry migrant workers and there wasn't a tiny bit left!
