We bought the bananas in the store the day before we were going to use them. Bad idea! They weren't very ripe and it was really distracting having it in the dish because that's all you could taste. So plan ahead and make sure you get your bananas a few days in advance. I LOVED the biscotti in this recipe in contrast with the angel food cake. However, don't make this dish to much ahead of time before you serve it because the biscotti will get mushy. Try not to leave any left over either

Very easy & delicious. To the person who said it melted & looked terrible, he should have let the Sauce cool completely like the recipe said. One note: I put the Leche sauce in a plastic bag & "piped" it onto the dessert. Everyone loved it. I don't think I used as much of the sauces as it said & would probably use more fruit next time, I added blueberries this time.

My niece, April, and I were giving a baby shower for her sister, Heather. April saw this recipe on the show and wanted to try it and are we ever glad we did! Simmering the can of sweetened condensed milk seemed more than a little "strange," but when it was all cooled down and April opened the can what we found inside was a deliciously creamy caramel. April also made her own chocolate sauce instead of buying a jar and it, too, was delicious. The trifle was beautiful when all the layers were finished and topped with whipped cream and crushed biscotti. When the women at the shower saw the trifle they were all quite impressed and the raves kept coming after the trifle was served. This recipe is definitely a winner. I've already added it to my recipe box and am preparing to make a copy for my mother-in-law, Nancy.

I made this for a bunco party for all the neighbor ladies and they all wanted the recipe. That was 2 months ago and I got another call today from another neighbor saying she wanted the recipe for Thanksgiving. It was very tasty and very easy to make. Simmering the can of sweetened condensed milk was easy or you could use a crockpot.

I thought this sounded delicious, but the biggest problem is the whip cream. It doesn't stay very long, so I made it and five minutes later, it was sinking like the Titanic!! Not only that, it looked so gross when it was served... almost like soup because of the consistency of the whipped cream! Plus, the can of sweetened condensed milk didn't taste all that great after simmering it for three hours. Ugh... I wouldn't EVER recommend making this. It was a huge disappointment!
