This was amazing! I was looking for a recipe for my Brie cheese, that i needed to use, and found this recipe. I recieved a jar of homade pepper jelly as a gift for Chiristmas, never having had the jelly in my life. I THOUGHT WHY NOT? This is a recipe my grandmother was using over 50 years ago, but she called it a "Cheese, jelly & mustard sandwich."
White bread, American yellow cheese, grape jelly, and mustard.
(not grilling the bread makes it quick and easy
The mustard adds a flavorful kick!

At first I thought this would be a gross combination, but I tried it and it's my favorite sandwich ever!!! Whole wheat bread, raspberry jelly and pepper jack cheese.

I was completely out of ideas for all the TDay leftovers. Found this and used leftover Alton Brown's Country Ham, Muenster, Dijon on one slice of seeded rye and peach preserves mixed with a couple of leftover finely chopped Ina Garten's caramelized shallots on the other. My Southern boy was actually happy eating leftovers! Had a good half of sandwich leftover, so the next morning I cut it into pieces, beat an egg with about a cup whole milk, poured it over and let the milk soak in for a bit, then baked til puffed and golden - really good in a different way. Just a super idea and we'll be trying lots of other combos. Thanks George and to the other reviewers for their great combos.

Since I was a kid, I have been putting cheddar cheese on a toasted english muffin and topping it off with strawberry jam.
My new favorite is the sandwich with bleu cheese and apricot jelly.
