I wanted to try these because when I watched the show, everyone that tried them thought they were wonderful. They really are! Don't let the ingrediants scare you. They just taste like a lemon cookie. They are chewy and crispy at the same time. Thyme and lemon always go good together. The pepper just gave it a little bit, but you couldn't hardly tast it. They are definately worth trying if you like lemon stuff.

I tried out these today to see if I wanted to give them as holiday favors to friends and family. I like them quite a bit -- they aren't doughy like regular cookies, and the lemon and thyme work well. I will use a bit less pepper next time, though.

I was immediately attracted to this recipe when I saw George make it on his show. I think I added too much pepper, though, as my cookies turned out too spicy. Otherwise very savory and interesting cookies. I will bake this recipe again.
