I had never made a beer can chicken before, but I don't think I will need to look for another recipe.
This was absolutely wonderful! Very easy to do. My husband has a phobia about undercooked chicken, so I ended up cooking this bird to 20 degrees over what I should and it still was incredibly juicy. We are not big eaters either, but we ended up eating all but one breast because it was so good.
This one is a definite keeper!

Hey, any recipe that starts with "Open the beer and take a big swig" has got to be worth trying! This recipe worked real well. Not too spicy but still full of flavor and the chicken was fall off the bones tender.

This is a super simple recipe. The spice rub is really good. One thing is that for an approximately 4lb chicken it tends takes longer than 1hr. I've made it twice now on my 22.5" charcoal grill, and it takes approx. 1.5hrs to cook. The end result is well worth the time.

This was great! I bought one of the gadgets that holds the beer and balances the chicken, just to be on the safe side. Don't scrimp on the lemon zest. Tender and juicy and flavorful bird!!

What can be better than a recipe that call on the cook the take a large swig of beer to start. Chicken comes out great everytime.

This chicken was so amazing. My hubby is not too big of a chicken or beer fan, but I love both, so I threw this on the barbie and two days later, he wanted to make it again! The flavor was awesome and the chicken was so moist. My bro is coming out in a few days and we'll be bbq-ing this again...making this the third time we've made this chicken in two weeks! Thank you George! This rub is love!
