I followed this recipe to a T and it was so horrible we could not even stand to swallow the first bite! I wish I too had read the reviews before wasting the money on the ingredients only to throw them into the trash. The brownies were very bitter, the icing was o.k. but not the best sugar free or low carb Icing I've had. Trust me, there is no way anyone could mistake these for real brownies at all and I would not recommend this recipe to anyone. How disappointing and embarrasing that food network would have this recipe on their website!

I vote that they rename this brownie the ?garbage brownie??.. or pumpernickel bread!
Seriously this might be the most repulsive thing that I could ever fathom; fear factor couldn?t even come up with a brownie this horrible. I want my $12 and the nearly 2 hours of my life that it took to make these horrific things back.
If you close your eyes real tight, burn your taste receptors on your tongue off, and omit the chocolate in the frosting, you get a combination that resembles pumpernickel bread with sweet butter. Really bad, horrible pumpernickel bread with rancid sweet butter.
I feel that the people who are praising this recipe more than likely work for food network and are trying to save face, and their jobs.
So to paraphrase the above, don?t make these garbage brownies!!!!

If you are like me these brownies are amazing! I have diabetes, and i understand that these aren't the classic rich chocolate brownies, but they are still good.(Especially after not eating brownies for 10 months I added cream cheese, to the icing, and it made them extra- yummy!

I read the reviews and took some of the suggestions. Soy powder did not help this at all. It was so dense and gritty I had throw them out.

These brownies take a lot of time and cost a lot to make. Save your time and money and buy a box mix. I cooked them for only 35 minutes and the brownie was still dry and tasteless. The frosting was OK but overall not worth making. I will not make them again.

I made them exactly as the recipe was written. Yuck was all we could say. There were too many eggs and way too much Splenda. So I made them again and cut out almost half of the splenda. And only used 2 eggs. They came out so much better. Thanks for your show George you are doing a great job.

This is the best LC brownie recipe that I have seen so far. Too bad that one batch does not equal one serving! They were sooo good. I did however use a mini cupcake pan instead the 8X8 pan that the recipe states to use. By using the mini cupcake pan I was able to make 36 cupcakes (that I ate within 3 days!!! ugh! If you use the mini cupcake pan you will only need to bake the brownies for 15 minutes. I put the brownies in the freezer after they cooled and they were absolutely fab. They were chewy and perfect. I will be making this again and again. Thanks so much! ~~ Kimberly
