Kudos-This recipe was easy to make and is so tasty. I have followed the low carb lifestyle for about 2 years. This recipe is a great way to dress up a low carb meal with lots of flavor. I didn't have brown Sugar Twin, so I used the Splenda and added a 1/4 teaspoon of maple flavoring.

I have been on the Adkins diet for about a month and am ready to branch out with more adventuresom receipies than I have been using. I mixed this sauce up this afternoon and was disappointed. I guess if you are not use to really good Texas Barbeque and sauce, it would pass. But I come from a family that has been in the business off and on for over 60 years. After I mixed this up, my husband said, "it's kind of wimpy." So...here are my changes. I don't think it will change the carbs that much:
    1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 finely diced onion
    *1/4 cup A-1 Steak Sauce
    *1 tablespoon celery salt
    *1/2 lemon
    *1 Tablespoon chili powder
    *1/2 cup water
    *3 hard shakes of Tabasco
    *1 teaspoon powdered Horseradish
    *and last, 4 tablespoons butter
*cook on low heat about 10 minutes and let cool.

Items marked with * are additional to recipe.

My fussy kids won't even look at anything low carb so I just didn't tell 'em! Great sauce, fairly easy and can substitue it for anything you would use regular BBQ sauce with, without all the sugar.

I hate diets. But this was really really good--for once, I didn't even care that it was low carb!

My husband says this is the best barbecue sauce he has ever had! I didn't have any bourbon, so I just left it out....didn't seem to matter. Wonderful and easy!

I have been doing low carb for approx 3 years and have not missed the carbs yet. My whole family, including myself, love this recipe. My family doesn't realize that it is low carb and they are loving it. This is better than any bbq sauce I have ever tasted. Keep up the great work for low carb recipes
