To start off, I doubled the recipe. This actually tastes pretty good (I added a little Splenda to cut the spiciness if you are looking for a nice taco meat recipe but this is not what I would refer to as any type of chili. I couldn't find the soy black beans in my area so I went without them (the recipe said they were optional. I think this might have been more like chili with the added fullness of the beans (they should NOT be listed as optional but all this recipe left me with was about 4-5 lbs. of taco meat. If we change the name or the recipe to what it really is then we can add a star, until then...this is not the "chili" you are looking for.

This is a simple but excellent meal. It's great to use low-carb tortilla's with to make low carb tacos too!

I toned down some of the spices a bit to suit my taste. I also substituted Boca ground burger for the the chuck since I'm a vegetarian. All in all a delicious recipe - one that I would definately make it again.

I tried this chili the other night. It was fantastic. More meatier than most chili's, but it fills you up and warms your soul! I recommend it highly to those watching their carbs!
