I don't know if it's the variety of tomatoes that I have available to me, or the quality of growing conditions here, but baking/roasting tomatoes tends to give them an "off" flavor. Unfortunately, this isn't the only recipe where I've experienced this issue. The recipe looks great, but it just doesn't seem to work for us very well.

This was a very good recipe. I sliced my tomatoes, however, and placed them under the broiler for a few minutes. It really gave them an extra "spark."

I've made these at least half a dozen times since first seeing the recipe...they are so great because it takes no time to make, makes a beautiful side, and are healthy to boot. I love simple ideas like this.

This dish is SO easy to make and only takes a few minutes. I served it to my family and they all loved it. Great side dish when in a pinch to pull together a quick dinner.

This is a great dish, but made a couple of changes:

    1. Cut the tomatoes down the center and lay them on the side. This gave more room for the cheese.

    2. Omit the salt. The garlic powder and ground pepper was more than enough flavor.

This is about the easiest side dish I've ever made, but really dresses up a meal.
