Made these for a family meal and they were a huge hit! I use 2% milk and panko bread crumbs. I have also substituted Gouda for the mozzarella and actually prefer it that way. I also use a hand mixer to make the potatoes fluffy.

Not sure what I did wrong, this turned out very dry? Perhaps I used too many potatoes? I am going to use leftovers (I hate to throw food away tomorrow with chicken..............adding chicken gravy atop!

This recipe is so simple and really delicious. It was a huge hit with my family. My 1 and 3 year old kids devoured it, as did me and my husband. Definitely try this recipe!

It's really a simple addition to mashed potatoes, but it makes such a huge difference in taste. This is a really great way to make your mashed potatoes stand out! I just made these tonight for my husband and my parents and they gave rave reviews! These will absolutely be a staple in my recipe box!

Thanks Giada for this wonderful dish! I was out of ideas on what to serve with Ina Garten's Beef Bourguignon. This was perfect! I used 2% skim milk instead of whole milk and it tasted the same. To make the bread crumbs crunchier, after baking, I switched the oven to the broiler for about 2 minutes, and it gave it a perfect crunch.

So easy. Love that you can make them ahead. Made them to accompany Tyler's "Dad's Meatloaf" and they were great together. The only change I made was to double the breadcrumb topping because we love the crunch. This recipe will be made weekly!.Thanks for another great recipe Giada!

I get sick of people saying that recipes on here are "bland." What they mean is that they don't know how to cook. If you use good ingredients and follow the directions correctly, there's no reason whatsoever that this should be bland. I made it and it was delicious. Great flavors with the mozzarella and Parmigiano, and simpler than the alphabet.

We were looking for a low maintenance menu so we could enjoy our company and this dish was perfect for the potatoes. It was so easy to prepare too. Everyone not only loved the dish but it was the only one where some people asked for thirds! I had to make copies of the recipe to send home with everyone.
