These were a major hit with our Thanksgiving dinner. Velvety smooth and creamy -- the cheese just had the lightest touch but made all the difference. I made these the night before and popped the dish into the oven 40 minutes before we sat down to our meal. A great make-ahead dish and sure to be repeated often.

EVERYONE LOVED THIS RECIPE I DIDNT REALLY MAKE IT REALLY CREAMY PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY LOVE LITTLE PIECES OF POTATO PLUS I FORGOT TO BRING A POTATO MASHER TO MY SISTERS LOL. THE ONLY THING WAS THAT MY BREAD CRUMBS DIDNT GET AS CRUNCHY AS IT SHOWS IN THE VIDEO AND I USED YUKON GOLD POTATOES BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS THANK YOU GIADA.

I thought they would be gluey but WOW!! Fantastic! They were light and tastey and they held up beautifully on a heated serving tray. Based on the many comments of "who made the potatoes?" I'd say they were a total hit. They are on my "A" list as of today!!

I made this and used 1/2 stick of butter instead of 1 stick and 2/3 cup Parmesan instead of 1 cup and it was still AMAZING! :

These will be served tomorrow on Thanksgiving. I did a test run and they are moist, cheesy, and ever so tasty. I let potatoes dry and then I used my ricer for the texture. Thank you Giada, Happy Thanksgiving to yo and your family

He hardly ever eats potatoes no matter what i do with them. i saw your recipe on tv and thought i would give them a try.. Best thing i ever did my son ate the potatoes and loved them.. Now he wants me to make them to take to my in-laws for Thanksgiving so he can eat them with gravy he even said he would not be sharing them. THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!!

I used buttermilk instead of milk--excellent potatoes. I will make them for Thanksgiving. Loved the crunch of the panko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese.

This dish was very good; however, my boyfriend liked it better without the breading.
