Loved these potatoes! A nice switch from mashed potatoes and gravy.....especially if you're not fixing a meat with gravy drippings. The bread crumbs on the top and the melted butter on the bottom gave these potatoes somewhat of a potato pancake texture. They were very flavorful. My family loved them. I have both of Giada's cookbooks and they are wonderful. Have also given them as gifts. Everything is fresh tasting. Giada is also one of my favorite food network chefs. She is so informative.

a simple way to make mashed potatoes better... and also I find it nice to be able to make these in advance and clean up the mess before company comes over. Always a hit!

I got rave reviews. These potatoes have so much flavor. The bread crumbs give a wonderful taste and texture as well. Another new favorite from Giada.

This is a great spin on a classic side dish, especially if you make mashed potatoes a lot! And it's so easy!

I used day old French bread (processed briefly in the food processor for the bread crumbs. I was amazed at how lovely the potatoes were when they were baked. I hadn't expected such an atttactive golden color. My family loved them, and I have already passed the recipe on to several friends.

I saw this recipe and said sure why not. It is your typical mashed potato recipe with some great tasting additions. The mozzarella was a very nice touch. About half way through cooking, I realized I did not have enough parmesan for the whole recipe. So, I substituted ricotta and left the parmesan for the top. Prep was simple, the taste was great and the presentation basic.
