These potatoes were delicious! I used red potatoes instead of russets, they came out creamy and cheesy! The bread crumbs on top are a great touch. I had my parents over for dinner, and they were definitely impressed!

this was really good for making ahead of time and then refridgerating until 25 min. to serve. I added garlic powder to mine as I thought they seemed a little on the bland side. They reheated well the next day also.

I'm kind of new to this cooking thing, but these were pretty easy to make, and very tasty as well. I maybe will try it with a different kind of cheese (other than mozarella to make it a little more distinct. Very good and good for idiots like me! =

I made this the other night and even my picky niece who never ever likes anything loved it! Everyone did but she loved it so much she asked if she could take home the leftovers. Wow, what a compliment. I didn't have the problems that others did-I only had compliments.

These potatoes were a great change for everyday smashed, baked or whatever. I have to agree with Giada and say my favorite part was the crispy crust that forms over the bake. Don't cheat! Use freshly grated mozzarella and parm - it makes all the difference.

After reading the other comments, I added an extra stick of butter and used 1 3/4 cup milk instead of just one cup. I also added about a cup of cheddar in addition to the mozzarella and parm. Overall, the potatoes were very creamy, but not as cheesey as I had hoped...despite the extra cheese. I think next time I will try using sharp cheddar instead of mild...and more of it!

These potatoes were so good, they subtly jazzed up plain old mashed potatoes and the bread crumb topping added a nice crunchy crust.
