A few couples at our church have a dinner every month and last month I took this as my veggie and it was a hit. Everyone liked it and some went back for seconds...Great taste and very easy to make...

I made this recipe twice in one week. Second time was to take to Thanksgiving dinner because it was so good. It's even better if you add a couple of heads of roasted garlic!

I wasn't sure of the recipe as I had never really made baked mashed potatoes, and had definitely never added breadcrumbs, but it was delicious. The parmesan gave it that distintive sharp sent and the mozerella made gave it great texture. It was even good microwaved the second day!

The only thing I would even consider adjusting is:

-experiment with different cheeses. the mozerella doesn't give it a lot of flavor by itself. maybe even cheddar?
-add butter. when you are adding the wet ingredients to the mashed potatoes i think a bit of butter flavor would go a long way

Making these mashed potatoes was definitly fun and made our mouths water. I made them for Thanksgiving, and went well with everything else I made. Next time, I think I will add more butter and milk, but otherwise I got rave reviews!

I saw these potatoes on the "Just for Two" show and thought that they'd be perfect to serve at Thanksgiving. I was right!

These potatoes were a HIT with my family! I used store-bought shredded mozzarella (Kraft for convenience and also used regular store-bought Parmesan cheese (also Kraft 100% Parmesan and they were terrific. I also only had "seasoned" bread crumbs on hand and they were terrific on top as well.

Thank you, Giada, for another WONDERFUL recipe!!! This one deserves higher than 5 stars!!!

This was so easy to fix and put aside early in the day. I just put it in the oven about 20 minutes before eating. What a time saver at the last minute. My son who is a professional chef was impressed, and that is not always easy to do.

My Dad is a real meat and potatoes kind of guy. When I found this, I thought "Great something different." He thought it was absolutely wonderful. (Also like the potatoe pancakes made with the leftovers.
