Wow...I'm so suprised about the below comments. I'm no chief my any means, but I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and it came out great! My whole family was saying how great it tasted. I did take some adviced a previous review and added Italian bread crumbs and some garlic salt. Im definitely making it again!

These were awful!!!! Too much cheese, etc added to the potatoes made them the least favorite Thanksgiving dish for our family. Baking the potatoes dried them out too much and they lost the creaminess they had before they went in the oven. Would never make again!

I hated these. Even tried covering them in Thanksgiving gravy, still can barely eat them. The crunchy texture of the breadcrumbs, the cheese, just was not "my cup of tea".

These are wonderful! I made them for Easter & my husband requested them again for Thanksgiving. My picky teenager loves these, and even ate them for a snack in the evening! I do give them just a few moments under the broiler, just to get the bread crumb & parmesan topping browned.

Made these yesterday for Thanksgiving and I really believe they are the best mashed potatoes I've ever eaten - with just a little tweeking to our taste. First of all I boiled the potatoes in half water and half left over homemade chicken stock, for an additional layer of flavor. And, although the mashed potatoes were just right when I put them in the casserole dish, they came out of the oven just a tad (to my way of thinking dry.

Next time, and there will be many next times, I will add a little more milk and a little less bread crumbs. Otherwise I can't recommend this recipe highly enough!

Good but not the best potatoes I ever had. My family enjoyed them at Thanksgiving dinner.
