Omitted almonds due to allergies, but added craisins. They were excellent! We are going to try this recipe with orange instead of lemon today. Perfect for holidays or anytime!

This recipe was easy to follow and is delicious. Since I had the lemons left after the zesting, I juiced them and then mixed up some lemon sugar to sprinkle on the dipped biscotti. It was a nice addition to the recipe. For the lemon sugar I simply took about a 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of the lemon juice and stirred them together. Then I let it dry on some foil and sprinkled on the biscotti.

These were pretty tasty. Fresh, yet savory.

I split up my loaf's and added mini chocolate chips to one batch.

So I ended up with regular almond lemon and almond lemon with chocolate chips.

I alternated white chocolate and milk chocolate ; then I decided I wanted to go a step further and toasted almonds and rolled the chocolate in them.

They came out looking so nice that I had this idea that you could use these are a center piece docoration as well. So I used a small vase and arranged them. Looks adorable.

I'm going to do is again next week and mix it up even more.

    Merry Christmas!

My family loves these. I did change the recipe a bit because I don't care for nuts. I left out the almond pieces, and I added about a teaspoon of almond extract and a splash of vanilla. I also used about a cup of white chocolate chips in the actual cookies as opposed to dipping them in the white chocolate.

Overall, they were fantastic and I will definitely make them many more times.

I could not believe how simple this was. The only thing I would want to suggest is watch your baking time. Depending on your oven, mine is tempermental, my biscotti came out a little too crunchy, however, dipped in hot coffee made it just fine. I like the tast of the white chocolate, so next time I am going to dip one side in the chocolate that way I get a little bit of chocolate in every bite.

I made these last year for Christmas and brought them into work. They were a big hit. I know several people who love biscott cookies but have never tried to make them. I was surprised at how easy they were to make. I did change one thing, however. I dipped the bottom of the cooies in the white chocolate about 1/4 inch deep. This way there was chocolate in every bite.

i made these last night for my family, and i have to say, these came out way better than i expected. the only thing i would say is that if you have a nice, new convection oven, you really want to err on the side of safety with the cooking time - i did mine for 30 minutes the first time, and 20 minutes the second time, and i still wished that i had taken them out just a few minutes earlier both times (though everyone in my family seemed to think i was crazy when i said that, so who knows. these really are ideal for dipping into a coffee - the coffee softens the cookie just a bit, and then it's just amazing. i think next time i'd like to try something with hazelnuts and orange instead (i bet you could just substitute those for the lemon and almond, and they would come out just the same. also, my husband had the idea to dip one entire cut side of the biscotti on the chocolate, rather than an end, which i think would have helped, too (near the end of the dipping process, the chocolate started to seize up a bit, since there wasn't much left in the bowl, and that probably could have been avoided if i had just dipped a side, rather than an end.

I like Biscotti so I wanted to try this, but I really didn't think they would turn out as well as they did. They were nice and crunchy. I substituted 1 tsp almond extract for the lemon zest; not a fan of lemon. I ate them plain and dipped in semi-sweet chocolate chips, not white chocolate. They were excellent.
