Super easy and fast way to make cookies for any occasion. As others are complaining of the recipe being pre-made if you will.... apparently you don't watch enough of her cooking. If you did, you would know that this girl can cook. She makes her own sauces, pasta, cookies, pies, etc, etc ALL FROM SCRATCH.. her as well as millions of other working parents, find a little help from time to time from a box, tube, whatever..to make a special treat or delicious dinner for our families.

ok Chefinhome, your name must not really be true. Shows like these are made to show how to "take the easy way out" because it is for a child's birthday party...people with kids would understand how much that helps...If you want hand made cookies go to chef school...

Buying the tube of sugar cookies is a great idea when you have 100 things to do for a kids party, and it tastes great too. Thanks Giada. Save making cookies from scratch when you want something to do with your kids on a rainy day. The frosting is creamy and yummy.....:

I'm giving it four stars because these sugar cookies and easy frosting recipe are kid friendly. Of course an adult can make sugar cookies from scratch if they desire; however, my six year old twins were able to put these together with just a little help from me. We enjoyed making Christmas cookies together and most of the work was the fun part of cookie making - frosting and decorating.

I'm not sure how this is even a recipe. If I wanted to make sugar cookies from a tube, I wouldn't be searching the Internet for a recipe. Oh, and I suppose it is for the frosting, but that is the recipe off the powdered sugar box. Zero stars for originality. Now I can stop wasting my time with this review and find a real recipe for sugar cookies.

This is the creamiest and best frosting. I added almond extract to some of the icing to try it and was also good. Use this frosting for any recipe

I can't believe people actually use refrigerated cookie dough. "Dough" from a tube is so unappealing. It's disappointing that Giada uses so many artificial foods like that.

Maybe I didnt have the right stand mixer, I dont know but I did everything the recipe said to do and my frosting was not fluffy at all, in fact it was more buttery that anything with the butter in the mix with water it didn't take to the food coloring. There were spots of white from the frosting with the colors I added. The cookies were great overall with or without the frosting. Just wish the frosting would of came out right. Even though it didnt come out as planned I will try one more time ( after buying a stand mixer, I was using a hand mixer. My cookie cutters were trash too so that didn't help, it was fun making the cookies and frosting though. This was the first time my husband participated in the kitchen, so I had a blast.
