I'm making this right now with about half of the mint (because that's all I have in my herb garden right now and the syrup is DELICIOUS. This is very simple...now I'm just wondering if I could make it alcoholic and put it in a giant drink dispenser for a summer party. Any ideas? I like the bourbon idea- maybe rum instead? And float whole slices of green and red apple?

Wow- this was fantastic! I only used 1/4 cup of sugar for the simple syrup to cut down on sugar. I also just added regular water instead of sparkling, but I imagine it's great with sparkling water.

Very good, light and refreshing! I like a stronger green tea taste, so I do add extra teabags. Great to make and keep in the fridge!

Very tasty but not the best thirst quencher. It was a nice touch to our picnic meal :

I loved it so much I that I have adapted it into a hot beverage too! (Sans the sparkling water and ice Now I will continue to drink it as the weather cools down.

I love this drink-I always double the batch and add more sparkling water just to cut down on calories. Next time I'll try it with stevia as a few others suggested, but it's perfect as is!

The first time I made this I used Martinelli sparkling cider as I had it on hand. Worked out great. Refreshing and sweet. Today, I'm going to make the recipe again as written with one exception. I'll try stevia as another reviewer mentioned to cut down on the calories. I'd like to be able to enjoy this refreshing, perfect for summer drink often but don't need all those sugar calories.

I first made this for a dinner party a couple of weeks ago, and since then have been making triple batches to fill up a sun tea jar and keep in the refrigerator. I was concerned about how much sugar we were drinking, so I made the last batch with stevia - it worked great and tasted just as light and refreshing. This will be a summer staple from now on.

The first time I made it I followed the recipe exactly, and it was a HUGE hit everybody absolutly devoured it. The second time, I didnt have apple juice, so I substituted apple with pomigranate juice, and since pom juice isnt nearly as sweet as apple I used 3/4 cup in my simple syrup as opposed to 1/2 like the recipe calls for. Again, it was amazing! And I tottally agree with theresa....the simple syrup is great on berries, and I put it on vanilla ice cream. it was yum!!

I added a shot of bourbon to one glass of this (over ice and it was the most delicious cocktail!! You could hardly taste the bourbon so be careful if you try this. It is an excellent beverage sans the bourbon, also.
