Frozen artichoke hearts in a bag are also sold at Trader Joes.

I live in SC and I buy them at Publix...Birds Eye brand. They are wonderful to have on hand. Happy shopping!

Sorry to say anything bad as love Giada and her recipes. Her lemon ricotta cookies are superb! However we have appetizer nights weekly and made these along with 2 others and nobody liked or ate these. Much too sour with the bitterness of the artichokes and the lemon zest/juice. And my husband is a lemon lover! And they were salty too even with making sure to use kosher salt and not table salt. A more chunky texture would be better also.

I'm really trying to watch what I eat so I only used 2 T. olive oil when i made it and used it to stuff celery. It's so easy to take to work. I made open face sandwiches with it with roasted red pepper and sliced avocado, my husband and son loved them and had no idea how healthy.

Made this to go with Giada's chicken, lemon, spaghetti soup and it was a nice change from a 'soup and sandwich' meal. It was almost like a hummus. I need to add more salt next time but wow, loved the lemon flavoring. Definitely would use this as an appetizer. Thanks Giada!

Even though I strayed a little, this recipe was still great.I forgot to by the artichokes, so those were omitted. I subbed dried basil for fresh. It was a great app that I will make again!

I brought this to a family gathering (and just spread it on the crostini there and it was a big hit. It was so easy--I would make it again and am keeping it on my short list. It definitely needs salt (I went a bit light at first since my husband has high blood pressure and next time I might substitute bacon for prosciutto since it has more flavor and texture. Aside from that, though, it was good! My parents saved the leftovers and spread them on bread, put a slice of cheddar cheese on top and heated them in the broiler and they said it was awesome.

My whole family loved this! Light and healthy to boot. My 3 kids, 13, 11 and 8 devoured this and were disappointed when we ran out of bread. Definitely a keeper for every day and for a take along appetizer.

I have made this a few times, once without the cheese and I just love it both ways! For my taste I add a bit more lemon juice than the recipe calls for. Will make again and again. Giada Rocks :
