This is hands down the best appetizer I have ever eaten in my life. I am a die hard Giada fan, just love her and she really out did herself with this recipe. You must use fresh basil, I use sea salt and fresh ground black pepper. Bread doesn't have to be fresh, but it's even better that way. I make this at every dinner party I have, and sometimes just for myself! <3

If I ever want to make this again, I'm sure itll be good with less cheese, way to over powering with the amount of cheese required by the recipe.

The best appetizer I have ever had! Took it to Labor Day BBQ and not one left! The only thing I changed was that I used french bread.

    easy breezy beautiful!
I used such beautiful fresh tomatoes and basil.....I drizzled a tad of really good balsamic vinegar on top.
It's colors were gorgeous, it was very easy, and everyone loved it.

I can't stop making this recipe! Everyone that tries it is in love. Instead of just plain old olive oil i used Tuscan dipping oil and it's fantastic! I didn't use fesh basil :( but I just sprinkled on some dried basil and it tasted just fine. If you can't find fresh baguette, french bread also works fine. This is now a staple for me and I will continue to make it any chance I get. YUM!
(p.s. a friends mother is a full blooded italian, heavy accent and all....he said this was better than his moms recipe!
