As soon as I saw Giada make this I knew I had to have it. I didn't wait 24 hours before making it. It was a big hit at dinner, everyone loved it!
This was a great recipe for those end of summer tomatoes fresh from the garden.

Thank you Giada you have given us another Italian recipe made simple and delicious. I like this because it can be a quick meal and I also appreciate using the good homemade bread up. I will be making this often.

This recipe turned out ok, but I wasn't that impressed. I like the idea of baking the tomatoes to enhance their sweetness, and the baked mozzarella had a nice texture, but the whole thing was upside-down! It was so difficult to eat with the crunchy bread on top. Next time I will reverse the order of the ingredients that I put into the pan and I bet it'll work much better. I also agree with the other reviewers - this didn't taste as good the next day, so I'll make the full recipe for a crowd or make half if it's just for my family.

This is a delicous, quick and simple dish! Made it exactly as the recipe states. If you like Margherita pizza you'll love this. A lot easier to make then pizza since there is no dough and no pizza stone to deal with. This will be a regular on my dinner table. This dish and a salad and you're set!!! Yum!

Excellent! I made this for myself and my husband and we both loved it! We had extra so I invited my parents over to help finish it up. It was easy to make and my family said it felt like something you would order at a restaurant. I will make this again (but cut the recipe in half if it is just us two. I imagine that this will not reheat well and is best when consumed as soon as possible...any waiting time increases the chances that the bread will get soggy. About 45mins after it came out of the oven the bread on remaining portions began to soak up the juice and sog.
This was easy and delicious! I might even make it when I have my in-laws over for dinner.

This recipe was surprisingly tasty and a wonderful lunch treat. It is a great way to use up somewhat stale hearty bread. My only change was to add some rinsed capers before topping with the beread slices.

OMG this is sooo good! I did not have fresh Mozz. SO I just used what was on hand and it was still fabulous! Even tasty with store brand mozz.

Made this last night after seeing Giada prepare it on her show yesterday afternoon. I used a few very large hothouse tomatoes and it came out great. Served it with a wedge salad. Hubby and I both enjoyed it very much for a light quick dinner. The recipe is very simple and easy to follow. Had a little bit of leftovers which I put back into the oven this morning and served with over easy eggs and sausage. VERY GOOD!
