This was a really good side dish. My husband loved it. He actually made it. It had a little to much garlic taste for me.. which was in the pesto, but I really liked it too.

I have now found a new vegetable to serve with my Thanksgiving dinner!!! This is so easy to make and it looks like it took hours of prep time. I love to cook squash and am always looking for something new and this hit it.

It is so creamy and full of beautiful tastes from the cheese and pesto and yet so light and calorie-friendly because of the squash.

This recipe was unique, and the taste was good. I would probably only make this once and while because the taste is not as "home comforting" as some gratin recipes that include zucchini or squash. The recipe itself was easy to follow and quick to prepare.

I've tried other recipes in the past using butternut squash and haven't really enjoy them, but I thought I'd try one more recipe. This was great. The pesto and butternut squash go great together.

I am a huge fan of squash and am always looking for different ways to make it. I thought this would be a good recipe to try. However, this one just didn't sit quite right with me. The flavors of the squash and the basil pesto didn't go very well together. I think from now on I'll stick to having squash the traditional way.

I made this for my family for Father's Day dinner last night. It is wonderful. The combination of squash and pesto is amazing. I used frozen butternut squash pieces that I steamed rather than the fresh butternut squash because I couldn't find any and it worked really well.

I can't say enough about this dish. A GREAT dish to bring to a dish-to-pass, and this would be a really good thing to make for a side dish at Thanksgiving. A tip - forget using just a 1/4 cup of the pesto - I bought a 6 oz container of pesto and should have used the whole thing - I believe Giada used the entire container in the episode. Don't be afraid of the pesto!!

Awesome!!! A no fuss, easy recipe and a crowd pleaser. Also versatile, especially good for vegetarians.
