Where do I start .... marinated the chicken and was off to a great start, but things soon turned south. I lined the pan with foil as called for however the marinade(just the little amount on the chicken was so sugary and got sooo hot that it burned through the foil onto the pan and schorched. The house smelled awful(all 3000 sq ft Smoke in every room. Then the marinade to be reduced, never reduced cooked (15 min. Then even the smell of the marinade boiling was awful !!!. The worse part pf all i put the left overs in the trash can in the kitchen and in the morning the kitchen still reeked of smoke and now a new smelll, dead animal!! . YUCK!!! So not worth the exspensiveness of the ingredients, YUCK!!!!!

This recipe was so tasty - my family enjoyed it very much-
I actually uesd thighs, cut into thirds - I ended up with 2 small side sections and the larger middle section with the bone. Great - Economical - and very simple.

I watched the episode, mine turned out looking exactly like the TV version! I used finely chopped almonds instead of sesame seeds but that was the only replacement. The chicken was cooked perfectly all the way through after 30 minutes. I didn't have any issues with using the mariande as a glaze (I'm fairly certain cooks have done that for hundreds of years. It was savory and delightful. I will definitely do this again!

My comments come from a health point of view. You should NEVER ever reuse any marinade that contained raw meat, especially poultry. I am surprised this got past the standards board before the show was aired.

Great flavor and using chicken wings...appetizers anyone?

Having read most reviews, we BBQd the second attempt but no honey nor seeds. The flavor and crispiness were great. Leftovers were easy to keep. Regardless...try this recipe. Wonderful.

We eat a lot 0f chicken and I'm always looking for interesting ways to cook it. I found that this recipe is easy and also very tasty. The sause was very easy and when I cooked it on the stove it came out perfect, I didn't add the rosemary or sesame seeds, as I didn't have these on hand.

I made mine with the whole wing because that is what I had on hand. The perfect balance of flavors sweet, salty and savory. These would be great at the next sunday football party.

I followed the exact instructions but it didn't look like the picture after 40 mins baked in oven, so I boiled the marinate sauce with the chicken for about 10 mins then put everything in the oven to grill for another 10 mins or so until it caramilized.

This recipe is a keeper but the outcome could be varied if following the instruction.

Because the sauce was a bit sweet when I tasted it, I added some cayenne pepper to balance it out before I added it to the cooked drumettes. It turned out delicious and sweet and spicy.
