The oven settings were way too high. The marinade from the drumettes ended up burning and the bottoms were burnt and stuck to the foil. I would suggest maybe using parchment paper with a lower setting. Also, I increased the amount of soy sauce because I love the flavor when used in marinade. This made the reduction too watery and after 20 minutes of simmering, it was still too watery. Just something to keep in mind if you wanted to change any of the ingredients. I would try this again but on lower heat and maybe longer cook time.

I've made this recipe a couple times, and it is so yummy! Make sure you buy the small drummettes and not the chicken drumsticks because I thought the drumstick were far too big, and I loved how sweet and well coated the smaller drummettes got. I wouldn't change a single thing on this recipe.

I took this dish to a picnic a couple of days ago. There was nothing left to bring home. It is very eye-appealing and stands out from other dishes because of the sesame seeds and parsley over the top. As far as taste, I made a few notes. I will make the sauce less sweet next time. I think I will greatly reduce the honey, reducing the volume of the sauce, since there was a lot left over anyway. I will increase the soy sauce a little because I felt my dish could use more salt, and I will crush the garlic cloves and rub the chicken with them to infuse more garlic flavor. Even though I marinated my dish overnight, the garlic flavor was too subtle for my taste.

I also used a tip from Guy and made slits in the meaty part of each piece before baking to make them cook more evenly, and I liked how that looked too. The pieces opened up and got kind of crisp on those cut edges.

The dish was a real success. I'm storing it in my recipe box and will make it often.

This is one of my favorite recipes, and a family favorite as well. I always cook steamed white rice to go along side it, make extra sauce to put on the rice. It's the best. Thanks Giada!

So yummy! I did not want to throw this marinade away! Created such a perfect marinade and glaze at the same time. Followed directions to a T and it came out perfect and looked just like the picture! You have to try this!

I think I would give this dish closer to five than to four stars... I thought this dish LOOKED gorgeous, with the sesame seed garnish and when I stacked them in a circular shape around the platter like she did in the episode!

I thought the flavor was also delicious. Great barbeque sauce. And I don't come across too many recipes on how to prepare those big packages of solely chicken drumsticks that I always see in the grocery store.

The only problem I had was they weren't entirely cooked through in the 35 minutes, so I had to put it back in to get them right. Very delicious, though!

I also highly recommend Giada's dish called "Roasted Chicken with Balsamic Vinger Dressing"!!
