The muffins are fantastic! Great banana flavor.
I only had pastry flour on hand and used it as a substitute. They turned out moist and fluffy.
The frosting I have attempted to make twice. Both times were fails. The first time I felt the butter was not quite room temperature. The second time, I made sure to test all to see how soft and room temperature it was - still came out lumpy. I think the marscapone does this - will try using a basic cream cheese frosting next time - but honesty, without frosting they are still delicious!

Easy and delicious! We substituted plain greek yogurt for the cream cheese as per other reviews. My DD was too impatient to wait for the marscapone to get to room temp, so it turned out a little lumpy. We dipped the muffin tops into the frosting mixture after letting cool only slightly and it made a perfect glaze. After we'd dipped them all once, we had plenty of frosting left and the muffins were still warm, so we dipped them again for double glazed goodness. We still had probably half of the frosting left, but found that it was just the right amount of sweetness. I don't think we would have enjoyed them nearly as much with a fully frosted top. The honey frosting would have overpowered the banana and spice.

Very good, they were moist and tasty. I thought the amount of muffins was too large, I got like 19 muffins, I live in a home of 2, I had to give muffins away to my bf's family and take some to work, a few too many for us. But a great recipe.

These muffins are fantastic. I do have a recommendation for a slightly healthier frosting, though: instead of using cream cheese, use heavy, greek-style plain (or flavored? yogurt. Yogurt is thick, rich, removes the curdles sometimes caused by the honey and is much healthier. Enjoy!

I wasn't too crazy about the honey icing, but once you try it with the banana muffins its just the perfect combination!this is a great recipe!

These muffins are delicious! I have made these muffins many, many, many times. I followed recipe as is with no modifications. They are great with or without the frosting. They also freeze well. The recipe is Forever a Favorite!

These muffins are fantastic! I've made them on three separate occasions and they've been a big hit. My family loves them too!

Tasty! I added a small handful of semi sweet chocolate chips and a few table spoons of wheat bran? I thought 2 cups of sugar was a ridiculous amount, so I used frozen extra ripe bananas. I zapped them in the microwave to get them really soft juicy. The extra juices made the muffin even more banana-y and that extra cup of sugar I didn't use wasn't missed at all.
