These muffins were really good. Much easier than making banana bread and very delicious. I didn't make the frosting and they didn't need it. They were better the next day. I sprinkled some slivered almonds on top before putting them in the oven and it added just the right crunch to them. Will definatly be making these again.

Absolutely wonderful muffins! I filled the tins all the way and they really did pop up and make a beautiful, moist muffin.
Don't be afraid if the batter seems too thick. Also, the directions say to roughly mash the muffins. That works out great in the muffin, just make sure you leave small chunks of banana, not big ones. Spraying the top of the muffin pan helps the tops not stick.
The frosting was excellent. I liked it just as it is written. Wonderful with the toasted walnuts on top of the frosting!

I love mascarpone cheese, so this recipe caught my attention as I was looking for a way to use up brown bananas. I try to eat healthy, so I cut the sugar in half, used whole wheat pastry flour for half the flour, and added wheat germ, and the muffins still turned out perfect. These are delicious, and how could one go wrong with the decadent spread to go on top!

These muffins come out moist and tasty, and the frosting is fabulous. Tastes like a cream cheese frosting, but the mascarpone cheese gives it a very special touch, not quite what you'd expect--but in a good way! : I took these to a recent party and got many questions and compliments on them. You're going to love them!

I woke up on a Sunday morning and made these... didn't have any marscapone cheese- so I skipped the frosting and put a little bit of cream cheese on them warm- they were delicious. Wonderful texture and flavor.

this recipe is so quick and easy and these muffins turned out great! moist and flavorful. i agree with the previous reviewer about using half the butter so the frosty doesn't taste too much of butter but is still creamy and compliments the muffin.

These muffins were amazing!!! So sweet and a little crunch! For the frosting there is too much butter, I cut the butter by half and then the frosting was great!
