Great Banana recipe. I made this on Sunday because I had some bananas that were ready to go bad. It was easy and they are delicious.

This recipe is delicious; however, the muffins come up a bit flacid. I make them all the time with chocolate chips, but I double the baking powder and halve the baking soda. This makes them rise more/fluffier. If you like them really moist, trading out half the white sugar for brown sugar has worked well for me to make them more moist. Great recipe. Watch out for those acid/base proportions, though. (Maybe my bananas are not as acidic?

Although I already have 2 outstanding banana muffin recipes that I love, I decided to try this recipe based on the stellar reviews. What a disappointment! The flavor was bland (even with a tablespoon of vanilla and my kids described the texture as too thick. I made the frosting on a whim to try with some of the cupcakes and the frosting tasted like cream and butter - just awful. After throwing away the frosting I aslo threw out this recipe. I usually love Giada's recipes, but I think she excells more with entrees, appetizers and drinks then with desserts.

Very good! However on the first go (and only thus far I cut the oil down to half and used only 1 Cup of sugar. The texture is perfect and maybe will add just a bit more sugar next time. Plus I added 1/2 cup of ground flax seed. My husband and kids love them! Great recipe will do it again! Thanks!!!

These cupcakes are delicious. I have made them at least a dozen times and they quickly disappear. I have not made the frosting yet. I use store bought cream cheese frosting every time.

The nutmeg is a really nice touch. Great consistency and the muffins rise really well. I cut the sugar by 1/3 and they still were a little on the sweet side. Adjust the sugar based on the ripeness of your bananas. Overall, I added it to my recipe collection!

These muffins are the BEST! I made them at Thanksgiving as a different dessert and the pies just sat there! Everyone loved them. They are moist and very tasty. The frosting is amazing especially after its been sitting out for a little while at room temp. Melts in your mouth!

These are the best!!! They were a huge hit at work and my baby boy loved these as well. I did do the frosting but added a bit more honey and a little powdered sugar to sweeten it up just a bit. It will be a go to recipe for those ripe bananas....THANKS!!!
