Made this tonight, and it was amazing!!! I always look for recipes that are easy, quick, how many ratings/stars and what people say about it. I took other people’s advice, and added the squash and potatoes later. I bought small red potatoes, and they were a nice addition. I used whatever red wine I had lying around. I also omitted the sundried tomatoes. Lots of flavor. Will make again. Thank you!

OMGS!!!! I LOVE this!!!! I am so used to tweaking recipes that i added mushrooms and used a crock pot after browning the meat. I regret that. I grew butternut squash this year and wil definitely make this again in dutch oven exactly like the recipe says. This is one of only a few times I didn't alter a recipe to taste

This was the first Giada recipe I've tried. It was good. The thing that really brought it down for me was, surprisingly, the flat leaf parsley on top. It overwhelmed the soup. If I make it again, I would leave that off, and maybe try a cotija cheese or something different. I also made the mistake of putting in too much broth, if I made it again I would use the minimum needed to cover the beef and squash. The sun dried tomatoes didn't add anything to the soup, which I also found surprising.

OMG! seriously the tastiest thing i have ever made! like other reviewers i waited until the last 30 minutes to add the butternut squash and i also added some potatoes and carrots to make it a bit heartier... it was even better the next day the beef was so tender! i would recommend this recipe to anyone!

This is a great fall and winter meal. I did add about 2-3 medium potatoes, and there was still plenty of liquid. I love it can't wait for it fall again.

This is one of my favorite stews. In fact I grow the butternut squash in my garden just because I want to insure I have some when I want to make it. There is NO alterations needed what so ever on the recipe. My whole family loves it, and I even make it for special occasions often. Thanks Giada!

My husband loved it!! and it's easier to cook it with a pressure cooker. I used red wine instead and it's still delish !!

This was wonderful. I added carrots and potatoes to make it a little heartier. Also, after bringing to a full boil on the stovetop, I baked it in the oven at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
