I made this last night, although I didn't remember the herbs de provence from the show, I did use Italian style diced tomatoes. I also added a little pasta to the soup and it was delish!

Just stuck with the average rating here & I'm sure it's spot on...we are talk in' Giada here! Watching the episode now and the herbs de provence are in the faro dish rather...not to say it would be bad in this soup, but not missing from the recipe. Will be making this simple soup very soon...sounds deelish!

Quick and easy to put together. Delicious. However, on the show she added herbs de Provence to the soup and that is not listed in the recipe. I didn't have this particular herb mixture on hand so I used dried thyme leaves, oregano leaves, and parsley. I also added a tspn. or more of Italian seasoning (Grinders by McCormick.

A very easy to make and great tasting soup. I added 1 pound of meat instead of 1/2 pound in addition to adding 1/2 can of tomato paste. We ate the whole pan of soup in 24 hours.

Delicious and so easy to make. I will definitely make it again and I think I will add some additional seasonings.

This soup was so wonderful. I had made it for me to take to work this week. However, when I had my husband taste the broth for seasoning--he said let's have this for dinner. I have never been disappointed with any of your recipes. Great Job Giada!

I used chicken instead of beef. I also used chicken broth instead of beef broth and everyone in my bible study loved the soup! even my picky husband enjoyed it :0 I will definitely make it again.
