We had an Italian themed potluck at work so I decided to look up a new recipe. I made this recipe minus the beef (several co-workers are vegetarians and it was a hit! I baked the manicotti the night before and even served it cold because we don't have a large over at work. The whole dish was eatten! I used Barilla mushroom and garlic marinara sauce... delicious! I will definitely make this again!

This was a great recipe, and quick! I used ground turkey instead of ground beed since thats what I had at home and omitted the fresh parsley because I didnt have it on hand. I also would suggest using 1/2 - 1 more cup of marinara sauce, 3 cups for th bottom and top wasnt quite enough to cover. Otherwise, the recipe was good and I got rave reviews about it! My husband told me that dinner was awesome and he had his friend over that had 3 servings as well. Great meal for a large group too!

Tastes so good that it could be served in a restaurant!

When looking for a sausage and spinach manicotti recipe, I decided to adapt this one, and it turned out great! Just substituted ground sausage for the beef and added spinach to the cheese mixture. (The consistency was still fine.

There was a lot more filling than would go in the manicotti, so I put it in the freezer and will plan to make stuffed shells next time. Can't wait to taste the deliciousness again!

This was awesome. I do have a complaint about the amounts of some ingredients, but this dish is a still worth 5 stars! After filling all shells, I still had about half of the ricotta and meat mixture left. Rather than waste it, I put the remainder on top of the manicotti and then proceeded with the sauce and cheese. It still turned out excellently - but next time I will either buy more manicotti or less of the other ingredients. Served with garlic bread and romaine salad. Fabulous dish.

I gotta say......I read this and it didnt sound all that impressive............I have made a lot of different recipes.....sounded pretty regular to me. Anyway, I gave it a try tonight, I was WAY wrong, it was fabulous. I did make a change based on what I had on hand.......sweet I. sausage instead of beef. I also made sure that my sauce was very tasty and I used one extra cup of it (I like things saucy. My entire family ate it (even 5 and 6 year old picky boys, they did not go back for seconds like they do with some things, but they did eat the entire first serving without complaint which is something. This is in my recipe book and will remain there! I recommend highly!

Made this and everyone loved it. I used shells instead of manicotti though. Easier to fill. Oh, and I cover with foil for baking. Keeps it from drying out. I don't think you need the butter (my opinion and if you don't like parsley, you don't need it either. I also fine chopped the onion. This was delicious and easy to make, even for me, who don't really like to cook. Awesome recipe!!!
