    Someone else said that this sauce is bland. It is only as bland as the sauce that you place on it.

    Adding the meat to the cheese mixture for the manicotti was a great idea. Loved it. I will make it this way from now on. Thanks Giada

    I had never tried a stuffed pasta before till this recipe. After the first bite, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. The flavors of the cheese mixture I think is what threw me at first, but I can tell you that it started growing on me after my second shell.

    This recipe was so easy and fun to do. It really impressed my new boyfriend! Tastes great, and there are lots of delicious leftovers. Mmmm can't wait to make it again!

    I made this dish twice...the first time, following the recipe exactly, the second time, I substituted different ingredients. It was excellent both times;
    I substituted ground turkey for the beef, used a little poultry seasoning and extra garlic, and then used cream of mushroom,celery, and cheddar cheese soups instead of marinara. I thought it was a little dry either way, and would probably add extra marinara or half-way dilute the soup with milk next time I make it.
    This recipe is good stuff..not outrageously different or gourmet, but good stuff all the same!

    Well, this went over great with my hubby, father-in-law, and two young kids! We will make it again!

    I used sausage instead of beef!

    Relatively easy to make. Instead of marinara sauce, we used mushroom Prego. We also added freshly grated Romano. We made the breadsticks, too... both were great!

    This recipe was superb! The manicotti was hands-down the best I've ever made, and my guests couldn't get enough of it. (In fact, I had NO leftovers! The recipe was easy to follow, and the results were excellent. I am not a gourmet cook but I felt like one after serving this dish! I highly recommend this one!
