This dessert is so easy to make and tastes so good. It's not too sweet, it's fruit and flavor and refreshing. I think the bread on top is my favorite part.

This dish worked wonderfully as a desert the night we made it. It was even better for breakfast the next morning... I could get used to eating like this. This recipe was easy and fun. Just make sure you thaw the berries thoroughly.

I was a bit skeptical about this recipe, but tried it anyway and was very happy with it. I added a bit more bread than called for I used mixed berries - raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries and it tasted great!
My husband didn't like it cold, so I popped it in the microwave for about 30 seconds and it was fine.

I will definitely make this again. I didn't like the raspberries and blackberries; I used the frozen bag version. They were a bit too tart and there wasn't enough sweetness in the strata to overcome it. I'll probably make this again but just use blueberries OR used mixed berries with some more honey. The berries I used weren't kept in syrup, so I don't know if that's what made a difference.

I prepared this for my family as a part of a Sunday brunch, and it was excellent. I made it just as written, but I think that I did cook it a few minutes longer. It was sweet, but not too sweet. I served it with fresh strawberries on the side, but it didn't need anything extra to make it delish!

If you used a "white" bread that comes pre-sliced in a plastic bag, then it will ruin the recipe and it will come out eggy & runny. Buy a nice loaf of french bread and tear it into bite sized chunks like Giada did and there shouldn't be a problem. We tried it both ways out of curiosity and the bagged, sliced bread was eggy and runny but the loaf bread was fantastic! We did use a whisk to blend the ricotta in a bit more than Giada did, but this is great with whipped cream or ice cream, especially warm!

I made this despite all the less than positive reviews. I thought it was very good, easy, and not too eggy at all. I did add a little extra bread.

People are saying it's too egg heavy? Whatever. No it's not at all. Perfect as a side dish - or a main dish - for breakfast. Everyone gobbled it up and the room hummed with "Mmmmm" sounds. Thanks Giada!

This was very good, however I am not a fan of Ricotta cheese. Next time I make this I will try cream cheese and see how it turns out. Im sure it will be great. I really enjoyed the italian bread that was with this recipe...thank you for this awsome recipe.
