How can anyone not do this right? It's so simple. I think alot of people might be having a time because of the temperature of the frying oil. I made these and they were excellent!
Also, watch the video, and don't deter from the recipe, like omitting the cornstarch. These recipes are tested for a reason, because if they fail in the test kitchens, then they will not use it or they have to start over again and try something new to make it work.
Overall, I think these came out excellent! Great work Giada!

Delicious and easy! Brushed with an egg wash, sprinkled with coarse sugar, baked at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.

another home run on this one. Made them for company and they just moaned and kept on eating them. No issues making these at all. Even used a cookie cutter with ridges and they sealed perfect and looked so pretty! They were a bit time consuming but well worth it.

These turnovers came out wonderfully!! I used fresh blueberries and added strawberries for extra taste. ( and i didn't want them to go bad i didn't have Mascarpone cheese so I used Goat cheese that i had. They still came out mouth watering. This is a light dessert. Great for after dinner! I got a lot of compliments on it! Very delicious!!

These were fantastic. Quick and Easy. I used fresh berries. I made the mistake of not using a thermometer and lowering the heat so some came out a bit undercooked. Will definitely make these again

These are delicious. Made them twice, following the recipe exactly, and they came out perfect both times. My method is three blueberries per pastry. The important part of cooking them is making sure the oil is hot enough, if it's not then they will sit in the oil too long. Use a thermometer as the recipe says.

I tried these yesterday and they came out so cute!!! I made six yesterday and is going to make the other six today!Im 8 years old and LOVE to cook! When I was frying them, they turned out a dark brown. I have has dusted some powdered sugar on top when they came out of the oil. These weren't bad. Exept one has busted open. These were delicious. Can't wait to make more today!
