This is an excellent dish for someone who wants to cook something a little more "fancy" but is not necessarily a gourmet chef. Reccomend reducing cook time in oven if brown longer on stovetop. Make with spicy tomato sauce and broccoli.

Oh My Italian God! This braciole is almost as good as my mom used to make (I have to say that "G' just in case my mom reads this review. Italian Mom's are very emotional when it comes to their cooking. Not only is this the most delicious upscale dish that I have served at family gatherings and dinner parties for friends, it is Soooooooo easy! Thks Giada!

but I added italian ham and had to cook the meat for an hour longer. I'm a little surprised the timing was so off. I pounded the steak before hand too. Next time I would try, hate to say it, chuck steak. The sauce was really good and we enjoyed it none the less. I served it with a baby romaine salad w/ crostinis and a garlic vinagrette. Still a recipe I will definately do again, just with some modifications. Could be me but I am not a novice.

this is a simple dish but if you've never made braciole before you should know to pound the flank steak to about 1/4 to 1/8 inch.

I made it for mine and my husband's first Christmas and recently again for Mother's Day. Love that recipe and Giada too!

A nice change from what most Americans consider typical Italian-American fare. We pounded beef to make tender, used jarred sauce to save some time and effort, and we didn't have an ovenproof pan so after we added the sauce we just transferred it all to a pyrex baking pan. Those were the only changes we made and we thought it was wonderful!

I thought I reviewed this but it's showing I didn't. At any rate, this meal was unbelievable! It wasn't as quick or easy as some of her other recipes but definately worth the work. Next time I am going to try it with a different cut of meat as the flank steak was "just a bit" tough. We love flank steak though so we didn't mind. The marinara sauce has become a household favorite and it has become the only marinara sauce I make. We put it on everything!

This recipe was good, but not great. It reminded me of a big meatball. I may make this again but it wont be something I cant live without.
