I try to make this once a month. It's great for a nice meal at home with the family on Sunday.

I made this dish a couple times, first for my Italian husband and then for a dinner party I was hosting. Each time, I received nothing but high raves and empty plates. My husband wants to know where I learned to cook Italian food since I'm Puerto Rican. He even confessed it was better than his grandmother's!!! This recipe is a keeper. Very easy to make and VERY, very good.

Here in Texas homesick for certain foods...we tried this and enjoyed it thoroughly. Although I miss the days when I could just buy them already made at the Allentown Fairgrounds farmer's market.

This was a bit of a challenge for me because it doesn't whip together quickly. It turns out a great favor and is worth the work and the wait.

I have been looking for a good Braciole recipe that was similar to my grandmothers for years. This comes the closest. My grandmother would put an egg (still in the shell in the middle of the meat before rolling it. When the meat was done, the egg would be hard-boiled. I never understood the significance of it, but all the children would fight over the egg!

I have made this several times and love it. I use a good jarred sauce and it makes such a rich gravy. We are big eaters so I always make two and just transfer them to a roasting pan before putting in the oven.

I used individually sliced pieces of beef for this. I used toothpicks to hold together and put in a crockpot with store bought sauce that we like. Boy, was it delicious! I cooked on high for over an hour and then turned it onto low. I had to shut it off completly after a few hours as it began to fall apart. Next time I make this, and there will be a next time, I'll just cook on low for about 4 hours. Didn't take long to put together and the results tasted like it did. My whole family enjoyed this.
