I made these for Mother's Day. Yummy & all of them were gone. I thought it was too garlicky. If I made this again I would just rub the garlic on the toasted bread only. I would not sauté more garlic with the spinach. Crushed red pepper added a good kick. Don't be afraid to use that.
I would make it again w/less garlic.

These were so easy and just amazing!! My husband and I made them as a snack before dinner, but ended up just eating them instead of making something else. So yummy!

This recipe was very easy to follow. I loved the idea of rubbing the garlic on the toasted bread, perfect! The spinach topping was delicious. My only complaint would be the fontina cheese. It was quite expensive to buy and smelled horrible. 2 out of the 5 of us liked the fontina topping, the rest of us preferred a mozzerella topping. That being said, I will definitely be making this recipe again.

This is a winner! Made this a few times exactly as written and always receive rave reviews. Giada does it again! It is a fabulous appetizer or side. Used sliced ciabatta bread from the bakery. The ingredients are a winning combination! Actually, I'd give it more than 5 stars thats how good this is!

TASTY! I made this on St. Patricks Day since I was looking for something "green" to take as an appetizer to the neighbors dinner party.... she happens to be a chef by the way. Everyone loved this. Even the one child who won't eat spinach had 2 pieces. I cut the bread pieces in half so they weren't such big servings and also took the spinach out of the wet pan before placing on the bread. Easy and delicious and I'm sending it on to friends.

Excellent recipe. I will be serving these at my next party...maybe with a little crispy pancetta sprinkled on top

Definately a keeper - delicious. Be sure to use BABY spinach, or put a light chop on regular spinach. I got regular spinach at the produce market and the bites were a little large and hard to eat. Did not detract at all from the delicious flavor. Thanks for another great one, Giada! Also could not find ciabatta - used multi grain baguette cut into slices for individual servings - still great.
