Very good!! I used tarragon I grew and dried over the summer. The favor was wonderful. I tested the recipe tonight and will make it again on Friday to take to a party.

Awesome flavor! I'm not usually a fan of tarragon, but it really added a great flavor to this dish. I turned the recipe into a main course by keeping the shrimp whole and adding sliced red and yellow bell peppers. I served it in a shallow bowl garnished with a slice of toasted crusty bread for soaking up the sauce.

Being from down south we're all about kicking it up a notch. In preparing this recipe I added crawfish tails with the shrimp and substituted the argula with spinach. It was divine. My husband and children love it. And the good thing about it, with the right ingredients it can be make into a full meal instead of an appetizer..Thanks Giada - love all your shows

M,y husband a novice cook who uses recipe cards, made this for our family with a couple other Giada recipes. DELICIOUS! I loved it so much that I took the sauce that goes on top of the bruschetta and improvised with ingredients in the house and made this as a sauce for pasta, PHENOMENAL! I didn't have fresh romas, so I used canned crushed tomatoes, used small pieces of cubed chicken and totally forgot about the arugula part, so for the greens I used spinach, Since I always have neufatchel cheese on hand, it made a great sub for the mascarpone . I tossed with pasta and viola, a meal for my family. i know this seems like a lot of substitutes, but they were close to the original and what I had on hand for a fast family meal. Thanks Giada, because of you, my husband cooks a LOT more and the foods always great!

One word: amazing. I made this dish as the main course for a week night dinner for my boyfriend and myself and just paired it with some broccoli and it was plenty! It was sooo tasty! I don't cook with tarragon often, or mascapone, so it was nice to have a recipe where both are utilized so beautifully. And the arugula added such a nice spiciness. It was so quick and easy and I can't wait to make it again!

great dish! I've made it a few times. After the first I used a bit less tomatoes and less stock. It was too runny the first time!

According to the taste buds this dish should not have been on an episode that has "basic" in the name. I understand the dish was showcased to demonstrate that a great side/appetizer can be made by using "basic" ingredients. This dish accomplishes that - hands down. Great Bruschetta! The garlic flavor and superb crunch from the Ciabatta, and the creamy sauce with the seasoned shrimp is spot on. The Ciabatta loaf yielded 14 pieces - serving four people that evening, there was only 3 remaining! The fresh Arugula gave it that nice texture and the Tarragon added a nice touch of licorice flavor. I did use about a tablespoon less of the Tarragon and a bit more of the Arugula to hold it together more. I didn't have enough mascarpone at the time, so I used 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of heavy cream. This truly was a great side dish. This one certainly has future in my Recipe Box.
