This was just great. Personally, I have to work on my viniagrette skills. Mine was a little tart, but now I have an excuse to practice.

I did add asparagus which I grilled with the zucchini.

I didn't dress the whole salad, and saved some for lunch today. It was just as good cold from the fridge. I wrapped it up in a low-carb tortilla drizzled with the viniagrette for lunch today.

Thanks for such a creative way to put a salad together. This is a new favorite.

Ok, so I was a little hesitant about grilling the romaine, but I really enjoyed the flavor, and when you put the butter lettuce into the mix it gives you that fresh crunch you are waiting for when you take a bite of the salad. I brought this to a potluck party with my girlfriends, and everyone of them wanted the recipe after that. I did add red onion to mine, because I can't have salad without onion, and I substituted toasted slivered almonds instead of the tortillas. Still this was an amazing salad. Thanks Giada!!!!
