I thought this recipe was great. Tasty and "light and delicious" like it's intended. I don't know where people get confused where certain parts of the recipe are, it's all listed above, and tells you what to do with them before you add them to complete the recipe. I had no trouble whatsoever. Thanks Giada!

Great salad, but next time will leave out thyme and onions. Thyme was way too overpowering and the onions just didn't belong. Overall, though, very good.

wow!! what a treat for the tastebuds! all the ingredients blend so well, yet u can taste everything individually with no one flavor overpowering the other! tart, sweet, juicy, crunchy, fresh... YUM!!! my only complaint is the same as others have noted-- this recipe is incomplete as listed here. but if u read some of the reviews, u can fill in the blanks, especially if u watched the the tv episode. it's worth the extra time to research the site, tho-- u won't be disappointed!

Foodnetwork wouldn't let me post a video. But YOUTUBE has a video if you search
Giada at Home - Light & Delicious - Caramelized Onion & Grapefruit Salad

It's pretty bad quality, however at least you can see what she did.

I love the carmalized onions, I have made them before. But, for those who haven't, you might want to add some instruction. I haven't tried the salad yet, but it sounds interesting.
