I agree with some of the other reviewers. I used a 10 ounce box of spinach instead of the 16 ounce the recipe called for. I also added about 1/4 cup more fontina. I only made 6 puff pastry shells the 1st night; and used the remaining filling in 12 mini phyllo shells. I baked them first as the box suggested then filled and baked again for 8 or so minutes. My friends raved about them! I just bought more ingredients to make them again.

WOW, what more can I say.. If I could give it more stars I would!! I made this for a Brunch with some friends and they ALL walked out with the recipe!!! Next time I am going to try the pastry sheets.. I am sure they are just as AWESOME! This was far the best thing that my pallet has tasted in a while!

The puff pastry shells are a little too large for an apetizer portion, which is what I used them for. They are even a bit large for a vegetable dish. It tasted delicious, as do all of Giada's recipes and everyone enjoyed them. I did cut them in half, and halved the recipe. I used the little cut-outs with extra filling, and they were the perfect size for an appetizer portion!

I took these to a football party and the fans loved them! They weren't on everyone's diet but I found everyone wanted to try at least one!

Definitely too large for finger food. Like others, I will add more cheese next time and less spinach. Also, since I want to use them as appetizers, I will look for the mini shells. But definitely worth doing again.
