These pastry puffs are delectable! I do agree, that if you want to use them as an appetizer, try to find smaller shells. These are really a meal in themselves. The taste is terrific. So simple to make. I get request for this "meal" all of the time.

I was able to find mini puff pastry shells at my supermarket and they were perfectly sized. I doubled the recipe though (only using 2-10 oz boxes of spinach and it made way too much! I'm hoping it freezes well because I will definitely try it again. I even spread some on a bagette and everyone loved it too.

My husband does most of the cooking and then shares his results with a number of friends. They loved this one and it was very easy to prepare but looked so gourmet.

I loved this recipe! I'm not a big fan of feta cheese so when I saw this version with fontina I had to make it.

I made the filling and used phylo sheets instead. 10 sheets per roll, lightly butter each sheet and sprinkle with bread crumbs...in my case I used wheat crackers because I was out of bread crumbs.

This receipe will make two rolls which will severe 15-20 people.

I found that each roll was a little more moist on the bottom than I would have liked so next time I'm going to try baking them on a wire rack and see if that helps.

I served this to my guests at a luncheon as an appetizer and everyone who was there requested the recipe. They thought they were the best ever.

wonderful party appetizer. fillo shells work well if you don't have puff pastry on hand. top with a sprinkle of parmesean.
