Kind of labor intensive, what with the stuffing of the dates and then slicing and wrapping in prosciutto. The sweet/salty was nice, but didn't just knock our socks off. Probably won't make again.

Can you say amazing!! A must in the oven for 8 minutes at 400 degrees. Scrumptious! Easy!

First time I made this exactly as the recipe stated. Prosciutto was difficult to cut and secure neatly. Second time, omitted the prosciutto and drizzled with balsamic vinegar. It was heavenly and didn't miss the omission. I will be making it again to bring to a Thanksgiving dinner as an app for a host who is a real foodie. I know he's going to be blown away by it.

Made these recently for a happy hour and got such raves that I'm making them as an amuse bouche for Thanksgiving!
Adding a drizzle of balsamic vinegar is a must to cut the richness and sweetness of the dates and cheeses...
I didn't even need toothpicks...these stayed wrapped so nicely!
Definitely a keeper!

OMG!!! OMG!!! seriously. From the moment I saw her make these, I had to have them. I LOVE dates and goat cheese. Well I was so excited I didnt even look at the recipe again, thought I had it memorized!! I stuffed plain goat cheese in them, wrapped in the Prosciutto....thought i was done... and then thought hhhhmmm....sauteing these would be even better! So I threw them in a skillet on high heat, browned both sides and then threw a lid on to melt the cheese...they were freaking heaven...i mean unreal good....it was about this point that I looked at the recipe lol....I will try them the way she does next time! (except i will still saute!! FAVOLOSO!!!

I made this as one of our appetizers for Thanksgiving last year and they were great! They are easy to make, look elegant and are so yummy! Plan on serving them again this year! Thanks Giada!

I followed the recipe to the letter. It was easy to make but too sweet for us. One of the reviewers drizzles balsamic over everything. That might be a good way to cut back on the sweetness of the date. I also cut each piece of prosciutto in thirds to make the wrapping easier. The finished product looks really good.

I followed the suggestions and tried these three different ways. One with the toasted Almond inside that was a big hit. One with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar (the good stuff that was my favorite. And one broiled in the oven on Lo for about 6 minutes. That one was also good. Very versatile Combination!

So easy to make and everyone thinks I am a superstar when I make them! There are many different variations to experiment with too.

Always a hit each time I make them...very simple, elegant & oh so tasty. Instead of wrapping a whole piece of prosciutto around each one, I cut the strips length wise and wrap. This way you see some of the date and the prosciutto is in the middle. I like this presentation better.
