Bleh, not nice tasting at all! We followed the recipe to a T and spent a lot of money purchasing only the best ingredients only to find when adding these all together left us with a very awful taste in our mouths.

I made this Hors Doeuvre to bring to a dinner party we are going to but now I'm considering leaving it at home. Thankfully, I made other appetizers that I got from this site that turned out great, but considering the cost involved spent to make this, I might as well bring it along. Hopefully it's just us and the others will like it.

The only bright spot in my review is that it is very easy to make.

Although I've never cared for dates, this recipe was a last minute addition to my menu for a party of 350 guests. Unfortunately, I did have to use smaller dates due to budget constraints but otherwise followed the recipe. We put the filling into a pastry bag and had an assembly line: one person squeezing the date open, another person filling and the last one wrapping the prosciutto. The finished dates looked great and were very popular - could've used more but who knew? Despite my aversion to dates, I did try one and have to admit it was tasty.

Perfect blend of sweet, salty and cheesy. New to Mascarpone and love it. But, can anyone tell me where to get these elegant silver toothpick/skewers? Please help... I can't seem to find them. Great recipe Giada.

I made these for a party recently and they were a huge hit. They are very easy to make and the best part is that you can make them ahead of time. The only thing that I did different is that I added chopped pecans to the stuffing and I baked them just before serving at 400 degrees for 10 mins. When you bake them the prosciutto tightens up around the date and just looks better to me.

Thanks Giada, everything I've ever made of yours comes out amazing amd always makes me look good. I do give you the credit if anyone ever asks!!!

when i used the whole date for this recipe it was too large for guests to chew so i only used half a date and half of the sliced prosciutto. it was a perfect bit sized snack. also, the next time i made these i only added one tablespoon of the marscapone cheese to goat cheese mixture and they were even more flavorful. will certainly make this recipe a staple appetizer!

I took this appetizer to our gourmet group dinner. It was unanimous: everyone felt they were just too sweet and rich. The prosciutto didn't stand up to them, and since the filling is also rather sweet (the mascarpone there wasn't really a salty or tart contrast to the rich dates. I would try stuffed dates again, but not with this filling.

I have never had a date before but decided to try out this recipe. They are fab!!! Quick and easy and look super cute. I personally added more goat cheese because I like more tang with the sweet and salty, but other than that they are perfect. Thanks Giada!!!
