I've made this recipe two weeks in a row on my husbands request. I used two different types of tortellini and it turned out great - the best part is that it was so easy!

This was great and so easy. I would use regular mozzarella instead of smoked.

When I saw Giada make this casserole on TV, I thought it would be different as well as fast and easy. It's really not that different. I think heavy cream or ricotta would have worked just as well as the more expensive mascarpone cheese.Didn't like the addition of fresh thyme.

Loved the mascarpone in the sauce! The smoked mozzarella was too strong a flavor for my family, so I will shred that and use it more sparingly with the paremesean next time, but overall, a delicious recipe that can be customized lots of different ways. I made it a day ahead and added 1 cup extra sauce (the tortellini seemed to absorb it - YUM!

My wife and I made this today. It was great. We deviated from the original recipe a little bit by cutting it in half. We also used a mix of spinach and cheese tortellini as well as our favorite roasted garlic marinara sauce. We topped the dish with sliced fresh tomatoes followed by the parmesan cheese. Fantastic!

This recipe was simple and delicious! My only complaint is that the thyme is a bit strong, so if you aren't a big fan (I'm not! then you might want to leave it out and add another spice = Super versatile recipe- will definitely make it again!

I love to try new recipes, then add my own rendition. I would not change a thing on this. The smoked Mozzarella is what really made it. Do not substitute this because then you just have a regular baked pasta dish..
Serve with a simple salad and it's great!!!

Made this and it was easy and super delicious! The mascarpone cheese makes the jar marinara way better-my husband & I prefer to make our own sauce instead of using jar stuff usually. Love it, it's great, quick, easy, and tasty!

How the hell can you people rate a recipe after you've changed it to your liking. No one cares if you don't like smoked cheese or whatever. If you can't follow the recipe directions your rating has nothing to do with the original dish.
