We LOVE this dish! We use 1 small can of El Pato (mexican red sauce and 1 can of regular tomato sauce, and add red pepper flakes because we like it spicy...turns out perfect and delicious every time!!!

Followed the recipe to a T. It was good, but relatively underwhelming.
One note: It is pretty hard to thinly slice smoked mozzarella so thin that you can cover an 8x8 dish with 2 ounces! If I had it to do over again I would shred 2 ounces and spread it across the top.

I LOVE this dish. I'm making it for the second time tonight. I will double the recipe. Three of us ate the entire thing last time. I did not use the smoked mozzarella. I used Barefoot Contessa's marinara sauce. Giada.....Love it. Thank you. PS..even my picky five year old who only eats nuggets and french toast loved it.

My 5 year old son is on a tortellini kick So glad because this was delicious and a perfect way to use frozen marinara sauce. Did I mention this is quick, seriously easy....salad and homemade garlic bread...dinner finished in a flash!

Not my favorite dish, but then again, didn't really make it exact to the recipe. I think the real problem I had was the sauce I used. I used a jarred tomato basil sauce that just didn't sit well with me. Will try again with maybe a homemade marina and see if that does the trick. Easy dish to make though. Great for a quick weeknight meal.

This was excellent! I'm not a fan of smoked cheeses, so I used regular mozzarella instead. It was very easy and fast to make, which makes it even better. Looking forward to leftovers tonight.

This meal was so tasty. We made it for guests and they all loved it. The best part was that it took about 5 minutes to make (not including the time it took to boil the water and then I just put it in the oven.

A friend and I both saw this recipe being made by Giada and spoke of it at our local gym AND we were both going to make it that night! It was wondeful, quick & easy to make and assemble. A 5 star in my book! (Would dry thyme work as well if fresh not available? I too could not find smoked mozzarella, just used shredded, worked just fine. I served it with asparagus with lemon olive oil and homemade garlic bread, yummy!
