I received the casserole dish as a Christmas present and this recipe was in the dish. I thought I would give a try and I am so glad I did. It was fantastic. At first I was skeptical that the smoked mozzarella would be too much but I absolutely loved it. You could taste the fresh thyme and it wasn't overbearing. All in all, it's a winning recipe!!

I thought it was really good, however I do not like smokey taste. Next time I will not use the smoke flavor!

This dish is fantastic! It doesn't take a lot of effort, and it turns out delicious and comforting. The only stipulation I have is that I leave out the thyme, but that's just a personal, taste preference

Giada's meals have never failed, and this is another to add to the list!
I needed to make a quick dinner with what I had in the pantry, and this was SO easy to make! I didn't have the marscapone, so used cream cheese as another reviewer suggested. I also didn't have the smoked mozzerella, but DID have a wonderful 5 cheese Italian blend, and it was a great substitution. You can always work with what you have, and in this case it turned into a delicious dinner that the whole family loved!

This dish is so yummy and super easy for those rushed nights. This was a last minute meal so had to substitute cream cheese for the marscapone and regular mozarella for the smoked but I can only imagine the wonderful flavor those would bring to the dish.

I have never cooked with marscapone cheese before. I was hesitant only because a small container was $5. Actually following the recipe was definitely worth it. Before the sauce was combined with tortellini, it looked just like a sauce that could be served at an Italian restaurant. It tasted more amazing than it looked! I didn't bake it to the point where the cheese would be slightly brown, but it was done just how I prefer it. The first bite made my heart melt. I will definitely cook it again. And I highly recommend it to anyone!

This is my "go-to" recipe. All the items I keeped stocked in the pantry and freezer so I can make this at any given time. My kids LOVE it!! And it freezes really well in case you need to make it ahead of time. Double the recipe, and it can be enjoyed at a party as an entree! This recipe is amazing!

This is a good dish, but nothing extraordinary. I've made it a few times The first time, I made it exactly as directed but the smoked mozzarella was a bit overpowering for my taste. I had to search several grocers for the marscapone cheese and eventually found it at Trader Joe's for $4 for 8 oz.
I've also made this with ricotta instead of marscapone. It still came out basically the same so you may want to try that if you can't find the marscapone.
You can also use 2 Tbs dried parsley and 1 tsp dried thyme instead of the fresh herbs. It's won't be as flavorful as using fresh but still tasty!
