I have never eaten pesto sandwich before and I loved it. I made this last night for our dinner and my husband loved it too. It was very easy, yet it has rich flavor too. Thank you, Giada! You make dinner so fun!

This is the first recipe from Giada I have made, so I made the chicken salad exactly how it was written. I didn't have any pitas though, so I ate it on a toasted hamburger bun with a slice of tomato. I was a little worried after the pesto was finished, because it tasted too salty to me. But after everything was mixed together, it was perfect. The only thing I would change is to add a little more lemon zest, but I really like the lemony taste. Nobody would know this was made from leftovers unless you told them. Delicious!!!

i always make fun of other reviewers that completely change a recipe and then comment. Here's one time when the concept of the recipe was all i needed. Yes, i changed the recipe, but WOW, it was great. i had some homemade basil pesto, so i used that instead and mixed it with Greek yogurt and added chopped cucumbers to the 'sauce' before adding the chicken. Still used greens to line the pita and chopped up fresh tomatoes and some chopped fresh basil to top it all off. it was absolutely terrific. took these pitas on a picnic with giada's mediterranean salad and my husband's twenty somthing kids loved it. Now that i have more arugula, i'll try it as written1 giada never fails.

I loved this recipe from the start since my husband and 2 year old love pesto. It was a light and refreshing lunch on a hot summer day. I made a few changes. I added some toasted pine nuts to the pesto and used canned chicken since I did not have a chicken breast available. On the second set of sandwiches, I put a slice of american cheese in the pita pocket before I put it in the toaster. It added a little extra bite to it! I LOVED these sandwiches!! Keep them coming Giada!!

My wife and I both loved this one. It was incredibly easy to make and tasted great. It's also a great meal for a picnic. This was one of the best episodes as far as good solid recipes that are fast and terrific. This is definitely a keeper.

I made this today for my husband with leftover chicken and couldn't belive how great leftovers could taste! The recipe is fast, easy and incredibly fresh. The lemon really brings out the flavors in the pesto. Rule of thumb, Giada's recipes always deliver a great meal! Keep the delicious recipes coming ;
