This is such an amazing dish!! Family that doesn't like artichokes loved it! I can't stop making and eating it! I use Artichoke bottoms for a bit of a meatier texture, other than that, it is amazing!

This was very tasty! I made a few changes - added a can of diced tomatoes with the broth, used two cans of beans instead of one and added a couple of handfuls of chopped kale at the very end to get some extra veggies into the dish. It was absolutely delicious! Great recipe Giada!

My new favorite soup/stew recipe. My husband even liked it and he does not like artichokes. It was somewhat thick the next day...just added a bit more chicken broth, tomato paste and threw in some baby spinache I had left over from the bruschetta recipe and it was fabulous again. Great recipe Giada1

Yummy! Used canned artichokes instead of frozen...also topped each bowl with some mozzarella along with the pancetta!

My daughter's on a diet so I 86'd the Pancetta and doubled up on the celery, onion, garlic and chicken. I browned the chicken (bone in before I cooked the veggies and deglazed the pan with 1/2 cup white wine, Added the tomato paste and cooked it with the veggies a bit before adding the chicken stock. FABULOUS! VERY TASTY!!!! Thank for sharing Giada!

Good recipe. I have trouble finding frozen artichokes, so use the canned (not marinated and not only are they less expensive, but easy to use.

I have cooked this since I first saw her do it about 7 months ago. WE LOVE IT! I use canned artichokes too just be sure to rinse! I have substituted potatoes which doesn't change the taste too much for those friends or family that think they don't like artichokes! I agree about the chicken with bones but have used both along with just adding left over cooked chicken (as long as you didn't use a lot of odd spices. Also if you have folks who don't like cooked celery - leave it in large pieces and take them out before serving! I have done the whole meal! Giada ROCKS!
