Wow! Yummy! I could not find any fennel so I used half an onion sliced thin and some sliced mushrooms. I put it over some whole wheat penne, came out great!

Not sure why but I didn't think was as good as everyone else. The sauce was nice and creamy and tasty but all together I didn't think it had enough taste to warrant the effort.

I couldn't find fresh fennel at the store so I substituted mushrooms in the sauce and used canned diced tomatoes instead and it turned out great!

This is DELICIOUS!!!!! I bought my mother Giada's newest cookbook for the holidays, and this was the first recipe she tried. AMAZING! She said it was incredibly easy to make, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. My entire family was asking for her to make it again as soon as she can! Thanks, Giada! We loved this! :

The directions for this dish are totally accurate. This recipe is delicious, impresses your friends, and (most importantly is idiot proof. It's my go-to recipe when I want to impress a date.

This recipe is my favorite dish EVER. I did not add the fennel simply because the first time I made it I forgot to buy them- and it was so delicious that I make it all the time- about once a week- and never add fennel. It's so delicious everyone has to make this!

this dish was so incredibly delicious i made it 2 times in 1 week. i realized you have to chop the fennel/anise up more fine, not so crunchy. it tastes even better re-heated. this is one recipe going out to the family.

Super fantastic flavor! SO, so easy to make, so full of flavor and light. My husband loved the sauce, he was skeptical when I listed the ingredients but then was in heaven once it was on his plate! Thank you!

This was amazing! I had never had fennel before, and was skeptical at first, but it came out SO good. My husband said it is his favorite dish that I have made. The chicken just by itself is really good. My 2 year old son ate it plain without the sauce and he was even a fan! Thanks, Giada!

This was so delish. It was a great combination of flavors and so easy. It can easily be a work night dinner.
I added in a sliced onion to the fennel and a bit more chopped garlic. I also added in some cream since I didn't have enough mascarpone. The sauce was not heavy at all.
    A keeper for sure.
