This was fabulous! Added some chopped onion and sliced mushrooms when sautéing the fennel. Served it with an arugula salad. The sauce was amazing. A little time consuming, but well worth it!

Wow- this was a real surprise treat! I've never eaten fennel and was somewhat skeptic, but after reading reviews that it was a great intro to fennel I went ahead and tried it- and boy it did not disappoint! The sauce is amazing! I didn't add the full 1/2 cup of mascarpone because I was afraid it would be too heavy and it tasted delicious- next time I'll add some broth as another reviewer did. This is def in my recipe box and will make it again. Try it if you want to try fennel!

Great twist to the classic recipe and very easy to make. To create more sauce and also less of a creamy one, I added chicken stock and cut the marscarpone. Was a great flavor blend with the sweet/tartness of the tomatoes and the mildness of the fennel and thyme. Will definitely make again!

Super tasty! I love this dish and it is perfect for us since I grow fennel and the best cherry tomatoes. Even if you think you are not a fennel fan, this dish is scrumptious! You cannot go wrong.

My wife makes this dish frequently....it's easy, quick and delicious! If you've not tried fennel before.....this should be your first dish!

OUTSTANDING! Easy, beautiful, delicious, A+, impressive for dinner guests too. Chicken was flavorful, tender & juicy. Instead of plain bread crumbs I used Pecan Panko Bread Crumbs from Whole Foods. (or make your own with Panko, chopped pecans & parsley
I had to find a youtube demo of how to cut fennel since I didn't see this episode of "Giada at Home". Having never used fennel before I was surprised how delicious it was in this dish. I would double the sauce since it is so good. Then you can use the whole 8oz. container of mascarpone cheese. A great addition to my favorite recipes!

Followed the recipe exactly and used fresh thyme in the sauce. Terrific blend of flavors - the fennel becomes quite mild when it is sauteed and the mascarpone cheese adds just the right amount of creaminess - this is a great dish for company, even though I fixed it for just my husband and me tonight, I know I will fix this dish again - Absolutely fabulous!

I made this recipe a few times. Everybody loves it! The sauce is to die for! I even make it sometimes on it's own and serve it with grilled chicken. You absolutely HAVE to try the tomato and fennel sauce. I can't even describe how good it is!!! I love Giada and I've made many of her recipes. She never disappoints. In fact, I'm making her apricot and oat bars as we speak :
